run for your life.

Christianity isn’t always this picture perfect little fairy tale with Christ. Yeah it’s crazy good being in His presence & loving on Him (nothing on this earth compares), but just like any other relationship it can be tough.
We aren’t always going to “walk on water” and make the “best” decisions but remember we are H-U-M-A-N. We fall short our flesh is super weak and we fall down.
I’m going to stumble and trip and act a fool and be stupid and make mistakes. GRACE CARD. Remember that’s why Jesus came and bled and got nailed to a tree because He knew we were going to do this sick-nasty thing called SIN.
So, forgive yourself after you repent and ask God to forgive you and then flee from your hotmess-ness. When I say flee, I literally mean run the opposite direction of that “thing” that so easily entangles you. That could be: certain people that bring you down and try and get you all up in their bed and your flesh is too weak to resist so FLEE. That could be: some place (bar, club, etc.) that tempts you to drink to much, lust, etc. so FLEE. That could be: going to that restaurant because you always over eat so FLEE. That could be: that job that has that one secretary that keeps flirting with you in the break room when she knows good and well you are married so FLEE. That could be that mall where you are spending money YOU DON’T HAVE and going into more and more dept so FLEE. That could be that show you watch that makes you covet and want “things” that you don’t have so FLEE.
Tell your earthly desires and your flesh to SHUT IT and stay focused. Get up, wipe the dirt off your knees, tie your shoes and get back on the road and keep RUNNING. Make sure you are ready though!!!

Let’s keep it moving ya’ll and remember that we will fall down BUT we just have to get right back up and start running again.
God loves us even in our “screw-ups.”
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily ties us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.”
Hebrews 12:1
