God I pray…
“her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. she brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.
Proverbs 31:11-12
Daily I pray for my future husband. I pray God protects his eyes, body, and heart. I also pray for God to mold me into the woman and wife that my husband needs.
I feel like God has me on an operating table daily when I sit at His feet and spend time with Him in prayer about this area of my life. He cuts out pieces of me that need improvement. He is getting rid of the pride, selfishness, and “it’s all about Brittney” syndrome. He is then replacing those negative things with humility, selflessness, and showing me how to really and I mean really love like Christ loves the church.
I am a working progress but I want my first marriage to be my only marriage. So daily I die to myself and pray to be made in the image of Christ and to love my future king hard, to have his back right or wrong, to rock with him in the good, the bad, the broke, the hot mess, the rich, etc. I pray I would be his biggest fan, his cheerleader and his queen.
However, even if Christ calls me to a life of singleness I’m 100% fine with that to. My eyes are focused on my Lord. He is my first love and life is super sweet with Him. I am content with sitting at His feet daily, dying to myself, and serving Him. So, if he brings me a companion to run alongside of me and force me to get out of the bed on Sunday mornings when I am crazy tired and drives me to church, prays for me, encourages me, and leads me SO BE IT. BUT if Christ chooses to keep me in this season where it’s just He and I, SO BE IT. Either way I am content with Jesus and I am completely full of joy with Him and Him only. He has my best interest at heart.
cheers to doing marriage God’s way.
whatever my lot i will choose to say;
it is well with my soul.

You're such an amazing inspiration! I constantly tell my girlfriends that I have all faith in God that he will bless me with a faithful loving husband who will be everything I pray for. I say a special prayer for my future husband and family every Sunday because I know he is praying for me too! I am so excited to see what God has planned for my life and I will be praying that God continues to give YOU the knowledge and strength to continue this great often eye opening blog!!

OMG this is so awesome. I love how you address the other side which is if God calls us to a life of singleness we have to realize He is our EVERYTHING and that marriage is NOT everything.
love this!
God Bless you for this blog
