DIY Handsoap with Essential Oils
Since getting started with Young Living, I have been eager to make a lot more products that we use pretty regularly around our home. One thing we are constantly running out of is hand soap. I am always washing my hands especially now having a little one around. So, I figured why not make my own! This recipe is pretty simple, and I don’t have to worry about any harsh or unknown chemicals that are added into my hand soap anymore. The recipe and instructions are below!
All you’ll need:
-1/4 cup of Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap
-10-15 drops Essential Oil of choice
-1 tsp of Vitamin E oil
-Filtered Water
First, I add the Castile Soap; I use the unscented one. Then add in the Vitamin E oil, this makes your hands nice and soft. Add your essential oils next. I use Thieves and Lemon in the kitchen. In the others around my house I have just added some different combinations. I have added Lavender and Tangerine in one and it smells pretty awesome, but you can be as creative as you want! Lastly, top off the bottle with filtered water, but be careful not to fill it all the way to the top because when you screw the cap on the soap dispenser bottle it will spill over the sides. After all that put the top on and shake and that’s it! Super easy!!
