THEO IS ONE!
ONE year ago today my sweet, precious son came into the world and changed my life forever! I had no idea how much love my heart could hold for such a little guy. Theo is the absolute JOY of my heart. He is so happy and easy going and just so easy to love! I am so glad the Lord made me his mommy! He loves to smile and explore all over the house. He loves going to the library, museums, aquariums, or just long, leisurely walks around the neighborhood. Although, I think his favorite thing to do is EAT! He has tried a ton of fruits and vegetables and some of his favorites include: sweet potato, green beans, butternut squash, carrots, strawberries, bananas, and pineapple. He is also a big fan of scrambled eggs! He drinks water out of a sippy cup, and we have been exclusively breastfeeding for his whole first year of life! Theo has been in swimming class since he was 7 months old. We go every week and he is doing phenomenal, he actually can swim underwater for 6 seconds. He enjoys bath time, swinging at the park, and playing with his friends. Although it’s bittersweet to see my baby boy turn one, I am so excited for all the future adventures we will embark on together!
We had first birthday pictures taken by Brian and Melissa of Project Life Photography. They are the absolute BEST! When Jonathan and I had told them we wanted to go to an alpaca farm, they were totally down and super excited! We went to Good Karma Ranch and had such a fun time! The owners of the ranch were so easy to work with and super helpful!
We wanted the theme of his birthday pictures to be all about fun and they totally were! Theo loved being outside and enjoyed watching the alpacas! I will cherish these pictures forever and ever! I think Brian and Melissa did an amazing job at capturing Theo’s fun little personality! Jonathan and I are so in love with our tiny human and thank God for him every single day!
“Don’t you see that children are God’s best gift? The fruit of the womb His generous legacy? Like a warrior’s fistful of arrows are the children of a vigorous youth. Oh, how blessed are you parents, with your quivers full of children! Your enemies don’t stand a chance against you; you’ll sweep them right off your doorstep.” Psalm 127:3-5
My sweet Theo bear, I pray that you will be soft, tender, and kind. That you will be loud when necessary and stand up strong for what is good. I pray that the mighty warrior inside you will rise up and lead fiercely when the time comes. I pray that others would be drawn to you and that you would show love and mercy to all. I pray for bravery as you wade in many unchartered waters throughout life. I pray that you’d find rest when you are weary and find the Truth that’s instilled inside you to nourish your soul. And always remember that you are loved and cherished more than you will ever know.
