Versatile Maternity Clothes + some Mama tips.
When I was pregnant with Theo, I was determined to find cute, trendy maternity clothes. I still wanted to be hip and not look like I was wearing a big garbage bag that did nothing for me, ya feel me?! So, I quickly discovered and fell in love with Shop Pink Blush! I love that they have so many cute items that work for pregnancy and postpartum as well!
I wore this super cute rust solid sleeve tie sweater while pregnant with baby Finley and have even rocked it during the postpartum period too. It’s super soft and cozy has the cutest sleeve detail and is long enough to cover your preggo belly #winning.
Another one of my fave pieces I wore pregnant and postpartum is this yellow ribbed puff sleeve top. It’s nice and roomy for that growing belly and loose and comfy for nursing! I paired it with jeans, but you could always throw on some leggings with it too!
I just love the versatility of these maternity clothes, and how you can wear them literally through all the phases of pregnancy and even after. It definitely makes my life way easier so I don’t have to shop for two separate wardrobes. And I’m all about making life easier especially now having two kiddos. Speaking of making life easier, here are a few tips I came up with to make our days a little smoother around here. I hope you find them useful!
+ GRACE: give yourself lots and lots of grace..and coffee HA! It’s not going to be perfect, and it may not always be pretty, but just go with the flow and laugh and it’ll make it all a little easier. Remember that you were created to be the mama to these littles, and the Lord will give you the grace to do so. Keep your head up, pray, ask for help, and remember this is just a season, and you will not get this time back! Enjoy it all…the midnight baby snuggles, the chaos, and just soak it all in.
+ PREPARE FOR THE NEXT DAY: This has been a real game changer for us, especially transitioning from one to two kiddos. We always try to prepare for the next day. Whether it be thawing out a freezer meal, laying out Theo’s clothes for school, packing his lunch and daddy’s lunch for work…these will be total time savers. Whatever you can do the night before to make the next morning/day flow better is going to help tremendously.
+ GET DRESSED: this may seem impossible most days to actually change out of your pajamas and get ready, but it helps me to feel “human.” I try to at least throw on an oversized sweater like the ones in this post or some cute joggers and brush my hair because it makes me feel way better! So, take once a few minutes to get out of your PJ’s, wash your face, and brush your teeth. It’ll make ya feel like a million bucks! Speaking of getting dressed, I have fallen in love with this taupe cutout pocket front hooded sweater! It’s the best to throw on while you head out to run some errands or go on a walk with your babe.
This sweater has been on repeat like my dry shampoo, and I don’t hate it one bit! It’s soft, oversized, and you can pair it with leggings and tennis shoes and boom you’re ready for the day!
I hope you guys enjoy the rest of your week. We are still soaking up every bit of the newborn snuggles, I can’t believe Finley is already THREE weeks old! What in the world?!
