new year = new beginnings.
A new year = new beginnings!
So, lets make some changes shall we?
I don’t know about ya’ll but I love second chances, starting over, and having a clean slate. Because, I need some G-R-A-C-E daily and several times a day. It’s super nice to know that we have the opportunity to know a God that gives use numerous, numerous, numerous chances and “re-do’s. I am crazy thankful for that promise! So, with that being said I am pretty excited about 2013. I am ready to take on this year with some much needed changes! A new year for new friends, new places, and new opportunities!! Bring it!
Today, I sat down with my Bible, a pen, and my journal and started to make my New Year resolutions and seek God about what changes needed to take place in my life. One of my resolution’s is to read through the Bible in all of it’s entirety.. and I mean read and really study every single verse. I want to eat, sleep, and breathe the Word. I’m talking if I am struggling with this or that WA-LAAA a verse is there for me to fall back on. Or, if Satan is trying to throw up my past and make me feel like scum I can combat him with some Scripture!!!
Tonight, I started reading in Genesis. Man, something about the creation just blows me away every time I read about it. I love that every single time God said, “let there be…” or He shot out a command –BOOM- it was there. In fact the Bible says, “…and that is what happened.” All He had to do was speak and there was land, water, the sky, animals, man and woman. [[insert that frail moment here when God so blows your mind that the hair on the back of your neck stands up and you are so moved to tears you can’t even catch your breath.]] My God’s power literally blows. my. mind. Whewww. If He can merely speak and this whole world pop into existence how can little ol’ me not trust Him with the details of my little ol’ life?! Convicting, and that’s only in the first chapter.
Cheers to a New Year and change!!! May God bless you and show you something NEW each and every day! Be blessed!
2 Corinthians 5:17
“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a NEW person. The old life is gone; a NEW life has begun.
Isaiah 43:19
“For I am about to do something NEW. See, I have already begun!” Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”
Ecclesiastes 3:11
“Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work.”
Revelation 21:5
“And the One sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything NEW!” And then He said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.“

Always love reading your posts, you always share the most amazing verses!
Much in little says
I am inspired by your post. I actually bought the same Bible you have a few years ago. I so want to read the Bible from start to finish. How are you going about your plan to do this? Are you reading straight thru or skipping around? Also, I am attending a bible study at church that started at the beginning of the year and we are digging in Genesis deeply. So nice to have the Bible that I have to help me understand things that I clearly don't.

Thank you! There is a daily reading guide in the back of my Bible, it tells me what to read each day.. so I just go by that!
